We are seeking individuals interested in the role of Service Greeter at Eastway Toyota. The Service Greeter, under the direction of the Service Manager, is responsible for providing an exceptional first impression to all customers entering the service drive. This role is a key liaison, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and friendly transition from the customer's arrival to their interaction with a Service Advisor. Experience is not necessary. Training would be provided as we would love to invest in the right candidate.

Job Requirements:

Customer Welcome & Intake:

  • Greet all customers entering the service drive area with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Confirm the customer's appointment status and reason for the visit.
  • Record essential vehicle information, including mileage, VIN, tag number, and any existing vehicle damage.
  • Place protective coverings (seat, steering wheel, and floor mats) inside the vehicle.

Customer Flow & Direction:

  • Control and direct service drive traffic flow to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Direct customers to the appropriate Service Advisor or waiting area.
  • Answer basic customer questions and inquiries or direct them to the appropriate person/department (e.g., Sales, Parts).

Clerical & Administrative Support:

  • Assist with preparing work orders or customer files for the next day.
  • Answer and return phone calls as necessary, routing them to the correct department.
  • Assist with customer checkout, including processing cash, debit, or credit transactions.
  • Perform light administrative duties such as filing, scanning, or data entry (e.g., into the CRM system).

Service Drive Maintenance:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service drive and customer waiting area.
  • Offer customers refreshments and ensure a comfortable environment.

Vehicle Movement (Often Combined with a "Valet" or "Porter" Role):

  • Drive vehicles from the service lane to the designated parking areas.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles from the lot once service is complete and directed by an Advisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a genuine commitment to providing outstanding customer satisfaction.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with a clear, professional speaking voice.
  • Organizational Skills: Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and proficient organizational skills to manage customer flow and paperwork.
  • Professionalism: Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a customer service, hospitality, or automotive environment is highly beneficial.
  • Licensing & Background:
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, verifiable upon request.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen (where applicable).
  • Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, as this is a fast-paced, high-activity role.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain).

  • Organization & Detail: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail necessary for accurately logging vehicle information (mileage, VIN) and managing paperwork.
  • Teamwork: A proactive team player who supports Service Advisors, Technicians, and other dealership staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Proactivity: Self-motivated and possess a "can-do" attitude, always looking for ways to assist customers or improve the service lane's efficiency.
