Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and motivated Automotive Technician to join our busy workshop in Wicklow Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, repair, and diagnostic testing of a wide range of light vehicles. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and fast turnaround times, so we need someone who is efficient and detail-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance (oil changes, filters, brakes, etc.) according to manufacturer standards.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and replace engines, gearboxes, clutches, and timing belts/chains.
- Complete all work to a high standard and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Clearly communicate repair requirements and progress to the Service Manager/Customer.
Requirements:
- We are looking for qualified mechanics and 3rd/4th-year apprentices
- Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with multibrand scan tools.
- Full, clean Irish/EU Driving Licence (essential for road testing).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good English language skills (both verbal and written).
- EV/hybrid experience a bonus but not essential
