Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. This role involves performing complex repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service. Candidates with dealership experience are highly preferred. The technician will utilize advanced tools and diagnostic equipment to maintain and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues including engine, transmission, electrical systems, and powertrain components
• Perform vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, and brake repairs
• Utilize schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify problems accurately
• Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools
• Work on diesel engines and perform complex repairs involving transmissions and electrical systems
• Maintain detailed service records and document repairs performed
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
• Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing customer concerns professionally

Skills

• Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, powertrain, transmissions, and diesel engine repair
• Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern scan tools and schematics
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including alignments and component replacements
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service equipment
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing complex issues
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
• Knowledge of auto estimating processes is a plus
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $20.00 - $31.54 per hour
