Automotive Trade Assistant

Are you passionate about cars and eager to kick-start a career in the automotive industry? Our dynamic and fast-paced car dealership is looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to join our team at Midland Hyundai, Kia and MG.

As a Trade Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our workshop team, helping our technicians deliver top-notch vehicle servicing and repairs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who’s keen to gain experience in the automotive industry and grow their skills.

The role:

• Assisting technicians with vehicle servicing and repairs.
• Preparing tools and equipment for jobs and ensuring the workspace is clean and organised.
• Carrying out basic maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Managing the movement of vehicles within the workshop and to/from customer areas.
• Collecting and delivering parts or materials as required.
• Ensuring workshop safety standards are upheld at all times.

You:

• A strong interest in the automotive industry and a willingness to learn.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus but not essential—training will be provided.
• A valid driver’s license (manual driving experience preferred).
• A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and a focus on safety.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
