Job Description
The Installation Manager is responsible for the oversight of installation projects, from ensuring all materials and equipment are ready for each project to reviewing the scope of the work and ensuring each project is completed on budget. This is a senior level position that will involve the management and supervision of AV Technicians and will require on-site work regularly.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of installation projects from beginning to end.
- Lead and supervise AV Technicians on installations and provide assistance, coaching and teaching when necessary.
- Prepare materials and work with the Project Manager to ensure all required equipment is ready for each installation project.
- Review scope of work for each installation project.
- Ensure all installation projects are completed on time and in budget.
- Perform audio visual system installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment, rack setup, video displays, cameras, projection systems, media rooms, audio systems and control systems.
- Perform cable pulls, crimp and terminate audio and video cables.
- Assist with structural installation of displays, screens and projectors.
- Troubleshooting issues and final testing of the systems being installed.
- All other duties as assigned/required.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of audio-visual experience.
- Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean drivers abstract.
- Must have at least 2 years experience with Crestron and Biamp troubleshooting and code upload.
- Ability to read and follow building plans and wiring schematics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects such as assisting with 80” displays or larger.
- Knowledgeable in computer and communication programs.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with a high level of professionalism.
- CTS certification would be considered an asset.
- Safety certifications such as; First aid, H2s, Elevated work platform and CSTS would be considered assets.
- Audio, video conferencing or control equipment manufacturer certifications would be considered assets.
The chosen candidate will be required to set up reference calls with past supervisors or bosses.
