We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assembly Line Operator to support daily axle assembly operations. This position is responsible for assembling components, operating production equipment, performing quality checks, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, and committed to producing high-quality products.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Assembly Supervisor and works closely with team leads, quality personnel, and other production team members.
Shift / Schedule
- Full-time position
- 1st shift operation
- Monday through Friday, with overtime and occasional weekend work as required by production demands
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble axle components according to work instructions and production standards.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections to ensure product quality.
- Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervision.
- Maintain production flow and meet daily production targets.
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Assist with material handling and movement of parts within the production area.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and teamwork within the department.
- Cross-train in multiple assembly processes as needed.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing safety standards.
- Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to use measuring tools and basic hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good attendance and reliability.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing facility and requires adherence to all plant safety and operational procedures. Overtime may be required based on production demands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
