*** We're Hiring! Back Office Junior Account Assistant (Full-Time – Genova, Italy)

Are you passionate about fine food, premium beverages, and international client service? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Back Office Junior Account Assistant to join our friendly and growing team in Genova (Bolzaneto), Italy.

About Us:

Since 2002, GIS Provisioning has been supplying food (raw materials), beverages, and all kinds of goods to the galley and interior departments onboard superyachts along the Italian and French coasts.

We support yacht chefs and interior staff by managing the entire order process — from quoting to final delivery — ensuring efficiency, quality, and attention to detail.

What You'll Do:

• Manage end-to-end order processing: from email reception to final delivery documentation.
• Place orders with suppliers (often online) based on client needs and ensure timely and correct fulfilment.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of supplied goods, matching the standards required for crew or guest deliveries.
• Handle communication with international clients (95% foreign, mostly native English speakers).
• Coordinate with GDO purchasing and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Provide administrative support and maintain accurate records.
• Work under pressure during the summer high season to meet high service standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Fluent in English (min. B2) and Italian – written and spoken.
• Solid knowledge of fine food, premium wines, and international culinary traditions – not just passion, but real familiarity with high-end products and the expectations of a luxury market (experience as a chef, maître, or sommelier is a strong plus).
• Strong numerical and digital skills – confident with spreadsheets, pricing, email, and digital tools.
• Flexible and solution-oriented mindset – available to work late hours, weekends, and holidays during peak season.
• High attention to detail and a client-oriented approach.
• Able to remain calm under pressure and manage priorities.
• In possession of a private means of transport.
• Bonus: Experience with social media is a big plus.
