We are looking for a senior Backend developer to join our Aalborg Team at Wirtek.

We are looking for a team player that can contribute to our cloud platform operation, maintenance, optimization and development.

Our Aalborg team is a small team with extensive experience and highly skilled within software, cloud and hardware. You will get the opportunity to work with multiple tasks in an agile and fast working environment. We work within the energy, IoT, wireless communication and automation domains. You are going to work with a broad range of technologies, operations and projects, and securing reliable software, automations and infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing;

Your primary responsibilities will involve backend development and client/project related tasks. Main tasks will involve programing in Ruby and Python languages.

Project implementations and client support will also be a part of the tasks.

What you’ll need to be successful

We are looking for a colleague with commitment, dedication and a collaborative mindset. Wirtek is a multi-cultural company with offices in Denmark, Romania and Portugal with global clients. Therefore, fluency in English spoken and written is a must. We prefer applicants with minimum of +5 years backend experience and experience with client support and project implementation.

We seek a colleague with a broad range of skills and core competencies within:

• Linux operating system

• Scripting languages such as Python and/or Ruby. It's a huge advantage if you have skills in both Python and Ruby.

It is an advantage if you also have experience with:

• Microservices

• Service scalability

• Distributed databases

• Kubernetes

• The energy or IoT domain
