Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Backhoe Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating backhoes. This role is essential for performing excavation and construction tasks with precision and safety. The Backhoe Operator will work on diverse projects, contributing to the successful completion of construction and infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
- Operate backhoe equipment to dig trenches, holes as required for various projects.
- Utilize loader equipment for moving materials and grading surfaces.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating machinery on-site.
- Assist in frameworks as directed by project leads.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
- To help crew on site to prep work area for concrete.
Skills
- Proficient in backhoe operation with a solid understanding of digging techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery..
- Valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices on the job site.
- Ability to take direction and follow instructions.
- Concrete and Asphalt knowledge.
