Duties

• Assist bakers with preparing ingredients and mixing dough or batter for various baked goods
• Support cake decorating and presentation to ensure visually appealing products
• Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
• Package baked items efficiently for display or delivery, maintaining freshness and quality
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, ovens, and baking equipment throughout shifts
• Support food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients and assembling products
• Provide friendly customer service by answering questions about baked goods and assisting with product selection when needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices
• Basic skills in food preparation, cooking, and baking techniques
• Experience with cake decorating or pastry arts is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting or packaging baked goods
