The Bar Supervisor is an important position working closely with the Food and Beverage Manager and other Supervisors.

About The Fleet

The Fleet Hotel is a wonderful boutique style Hotel located in the centre of Dublin on the edge of Temple Bar. It comprises of some beautiful period buildings including the iconic Bewleys Café, much loved by Dubliner’s for decades. The Fleet Hotel is synonymous with local Dublin history, before becoming the Fleet Hotel, 19/20 Fleet Street was home to Bewley’s Café which was established by Ernest Bewley in 1905. Bewleys were known to be one of the finest Tea Houses in Europe and a favourite with Dubliner’s for generations.

Role Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth running of all bar operations in the absence of the Manager
• Ensure weekly/daily checklists are completed by bar staff
• Ensure all of the bar team adhere to systems and procedures as outlined in the standards of procedures manual
• Ensure all stock is rotated and stored in a safe manner
• Ensure all bars are prepared for set up in advance of each shift and in accordance with relevant standards of procedure
• Ensure that all staff arrive to work on time and in correct uniform and name badge as per weekly rota
• Develop, train and coach bar staff to the standards required of a four star Hotel establishment in accordance with the standards of procedures manual

About The Role

Requirements

Excellent leadership capabilities to effectively manage a large team

• Previous supervisor experience in a busy Food & Beverage environment is desired
• The ability to work towards achieving financial goals and targets set
• Proven ability to supervise bar operations with a track record of delivering guest satisfaction, employee retention and engagement
• Strong ability to work efficiently and deal with busy periods competently
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-Motivated and Enthusiastic
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
