This job is located on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune. (100 Brewster Blvd, Camp Lejeune, NC 28547) A military contractors ID will be provided if needed to get on base. Must pass a simple background check.

This is a *solo position, you would run the entire barista shop while on shift.

**We are looking for a lead Barista, someone experienced and able to grow with us.**

* Base pay is $8 per hour (to start* w/ pay increases based on performance), but the minimum average tip gap is $11.75-$15 per hour added to your wages. Our Baristas range from $18 - $22 per hour. (Possibly higher depending on your ability to generate tips)

(You'll also get an employee discount + a house account for food from our café and drinks from the coffee shop)

Responsibilities:

- Beverage Preparation: Craft and serve a range of beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, smoothies, and teas with precision and flair.
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers, take their orders, and deliver superior service to ensure satisfaction.
- Financial Operations: Manage transactions efficiently using the cash register, ensuring accuracy in payments and change.
- Work Area Maintenance: Keep your workspace tidy, clean, and well-stocked to maintain our café's high standards.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols to guarantee the quality and safety of our offerings.
- *Team Collaboration: Work in sync with colleagues to optimize service speed, quality of service, and overall customer experience.
- Sales Promotion: Proactively suggest additional items or specials to enhance customer orders and increase sales.

Qualifications:

- Experience: Must have prior experience working in the food service industry, particularly as a barista utilizing a manual espresso machine.
- *Autonomy: Capable of working independently, with excellent time management to juggle various tasks in a bustling environment.
- Customer Service: Outstanding interpersonal skills to engage with customers positively; proficiency with POS systems is necessary.
- Math Skills: Comfort with retail calculations including discounts, sales tax, and making correct change.
- Teamwork: Good communication skills to foster a cooperative and effective team dynamic.

Additional Skills:

- Coffee Expertise: Deep knowledge of brewing methods and an appreciation for various coffee types.
- Food Safety: Familiarity with food handling practices and health regulations.
