Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will help enhance the overall experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care.
• Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently to process customer orders and manage transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations during food preparation and service.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Stay updated on coffee trends and menu offerings to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food industry or as a Barista is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
• Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
• Strong basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure quality service.
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.27 - $18.36 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
