Responsibilities

The Bartender plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all guests. You will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to the highest standard while ensuring that the bar area operates efficiently, safely, and in line with hotel procedures. The Bar Team works closely with all departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and consistently high standards.

Your main duties will include:

• Assisting with the setup, organisation, and presentation of the bar area before service.
• Preparing and serving a wide range of beverages—including cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, coffees, and soft drinks—according to hotel standards.
• Taking accurate orders, making recommendations, and ensuring clear communication with colleagues in the bar and kitchen.
• Providing friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all guests across the bar, lounge, outdoor areas, and function spaces.
• Maintaining excellent levels of cleanliness and hygiene in all bar and service areas.
• Ensuring all stock levels are monitored and replenished, and reporting any shortages to management.
• Adhering to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service.
• Upselling and recommending products to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue.
• Accurately processing orders, bills, and payments, ensuring all items are accounted for before the end of each shift.
• Ensuring any open tabs or tables are properly handed over to colleagues when finishing your shift.
• Collecting and returning glassware, and ensuring bar equipment is cleaned and stored correctly at the end of service.

About The Role

Requirements

• Previous experience as a bartender in a hotel, bar, or restaurant setting.
• Strong customer‑service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, and basic cocktails (training can be provided).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with orders, payments, and cleanliness.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
