Introduction:
About the Company
The San Telmo Group operates 5 unique venues across Melbourne — San Telmo, Palermo, Asado, Pastuso & Robata — and will soon be expanding to Brisbane in June 2026. Each venue is united by fire, quality ingredients and a commitment to exceptional guest experiences. San Telmo Brisbane will bring the Group’s iconic Argentinian dining experience to Queensland, combining premium produce, charcoal cooking and warm, energetic service in a high-volume CBD environment. The Group is known for developing its people, offering clear career pathways and industry-leading training in a structured, high-performance environment.

About the Role
Reporting to the Bar Supervisor, our Bartenders will play a key role behind the bar at San Telmo Brisbane — a fast-paced, premium restaurant and bar environment focused on exceptional cocktails, wine and guest experiences. This is a hands-on role suited to a bartender who thrives in high-energy service, enjoys engaging with guests and takes pride in delivering consistent, high-quality drinks and hospitality standards.

As a Bartender at San Telmo Brisbane, your duties will involve:
  • Preparing and serving cocktails, wine, beer and spirits to a premium standard
  • Delivering attentive and engaging guest service in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining strong product knowledge across beverages, menu items and service standards
  • Supporting smooth service flow between bar and floor teams
  • Assisting with stock control, bar prep and end-of-service procedures
  • Maintaining cleanliness, organisation and compliance with RSA and venue standards at all times
Skills & Experience
  • Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced, premium restaurant or bar environment
  • Strong cocktail knowledge and confidence working with classic and contemporary drinks
  • Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining consistency and attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork and a positive, professional attitude
Description:
Culture
People enjoy working at San Telmo because the culture is built on respect, professionalism and genuine care for people’s careers. As part of the San Telmo Group, you’ll be supported by a collaborative leadership team in an environment where high standards are matched with strong development and clear expectations. This is a venue where your input matters, guest experience is everything, and long-term growth is actively supported — one of our current Directors started as a Kitchen Hand.

Benefits
  • Stable, structured part-time roster — the old hospo standard of back-to-back doubles or unpaid overtime doesn't apply here
  • Competitive hourly rates under a permanent part-time arrangement
  • Generous tips and performance incentives on top of base earnings
  • Job security within a successful and respected hospitality Group
  • Fully-funded external training in leadership, hospitality and beverage development
  • Generous staff discounts across all San Telmo Group venues
  • Clear promotion pathway — internal advancement actively supported
  • CBD location less than 10 minutes walk from Brisbane Central Station
  • End-of-trip facilities available onsite, including secure bike storage, lockers and showers
  • Strong, supportive team culture focused on development, consistency and work-life balance
