Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Salon Manager to oversee daily operations of our salon. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent customer service skills, and a comprehensive understanding of retail and salon management. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and driving business growth through effective marketing and sales strategies. The Salon Manager will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming environment, supervising team members, and ensuring the salon operates efficiently and profitably.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise salon staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
  • Manage scheduling to ensure optimal coverage during peak hours
  • Oversee retail sales, merchandising, and inventory purchasing to maximize profitability
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Maintain POS systems, cash handling procedures, and bookkeeping accuracy
  • Develop marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote services
  • Implement pricing strategies and monitor sales trends to meet revenue goals
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, training needs, and performance expectations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and salon policies
  • Manage administrative tasks such as payroll processing, budgeting, and record keeping

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail management, store management, or salon management with supervising responsibilities
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
  • Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
  • Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of merchandising, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management
  • Exceptional organizational skills with effective time management capabilities
  • Experience in marketing, customer service excellence, and training & development
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships effectively
  • Demonstrated ability in supervising staff recruitment processes including interviewing skills
  • Strong math skills for budgeting and financial analysis
  • Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
