Location: Hickory Ridge Community Church and Academy– Chesapeake, VA
Job Type: Part-Time

Join our Christian school community! We are seeking caring, dependable staff to support our before and after school program for K–5 students. Help provide a safe, structured, and faith-based environment where children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.

Hickory Ridge Academy is a private Christian school serving grades K–5. Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where children grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The before and after school program extends that mission by offering engaging activities rooted in our school’s values and faith tradition.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for students during before and after school hours.
• Lead and participate in activities such as games, crafts, homework support, and character-building lessons.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment.
• Serve as a role model, demonstrating integrity, kindness, and respect.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school leadership.
• Support the overall mission and values of the school community.

Qualifications

• Desire to work in a Christian educational environment and support the school’s mission.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to create a warm and structured environment for children.
• Must meet state childcare requirements and pass background checks.

Schedule & Pay

• Hours: 2 pm-6 pm, Monday–Friday as well as early release and teacher work days
• Pay: $15-$17/hr
