About your new role
This role requires you to be registered with the NDIS as a “Registered Behavioural Support Practitioner” at a “Core" or "Proficient” level. To be “Core" or "Proficient” we need you to have assessed yourself as:
- capability met for each knowledge and skill capability item for a core practitioner, OR
- capability met or developing capability for each knowledge and skill capability item for a proficient practitioner as set out in the self-assessment tool.
You will be partnering with Allied Health Professionals to create personalised support plans for your clients – spanning from children to adults, covering a wide range of needs and abilities. You will have a dynamic caseload that includes a variety of intellectual and psychosocial diagnoses. You will showcase your expertise in identifying and phasing out restrictive practices, ensuring our clients receive the most effective and empowering support.

We support you with regular check-ins with our Senior Practitioners, engaging in monthly gatherings with your fellow Practitioners, and ongoing guidance and mentorship from our dedicated team of Allied Health professionals and your supportive Team Leader. Duties
- Develop innovative behavioral assessments and support plans.
- Facilitate seamless communication between clients, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to empower individuals and drive progress.
- Uphold NDIS standards, fostering trust and collaboration with key stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
A current registration to practice as a Core or Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner in accordance with the NDIS Capability Framework.
- A minimum of 3 years’ demonstrated experience in behaviour support intervention and the development of behaviour support plans for a variety of people with disabilities and
- A minimum of 3 year’s demonstrated experience working within and adhering to NDIS behaviour support frameworks, practice standards, and quality indicators including but not limited to the appropriate implementation, reporting and fading out of restrictive practices
- An ability to appropriately respond to needs of people of all abilities and cultural backgrounds
- Sound interpersonal communication skills for negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution
- Experience in or ambition to deliver support, supervision, or mentorship to colleagues and professional peers
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- An ability to provide a service based on a client’s NDIS goals and funding allocation
- Current NSW drivers’ license and willingness to travel to clients and work flexibly
- A passion and drive to improve the lives of people living with disability, a friendly and positive disposition and ability to work independently as well as within a fun, supportive, and inclusive team
