Job Title: BER, Airtightness Testing and Sustainability Engineer

We are a leading supplier of building compliance services and advice to builders and homeowners. We are very unique in that we are an ISO EN 17025 accredited testing facility. Our services including:

  • Air permeability Testing.
  • Sound Insulation Testing.
  • Thermal Imagery.
  • Ventilation Validation.
  • BER assessments.
  • Tensile testing.

Because of business development, they are looking for a driven and enthusiastic BER, Air tightness tester and Sustainability Engineer to join their growing team.

Reporting to the General Manager, She/He will be responsible for managing relationships with their existing customer base and developing new business opportunities. She/He will have an aptitude for traditional and contemporary construction and building practice, along with the capacity to understand and communicate complex technical information. She/He will be focused on achieving excellent customer satisfaction, building strong relationships through outstanding customer care, and delivering on targets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct domestic BER assessments and produce reports.
  • Perform Airtightness testing and producing reports.
  • Advise clients on energy efficiency and building compliance.
  • Progress to Non-Domestic BER Assessor status with our support.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested within your capability to perform.

What We’re Looking For:

Must-Have:

  • Level 6 Qualification in Construction/Engineering/Architecture/Sustainability.
  • SEAI-registered Domestic BER Assessor (or actively working towards it)
  • IT skills including AutoCAD, Word, and Excel.
  • Full clean driving licence (manual vehicle) & willingness to travel to client sites.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a strong English communicator.
  • A good work ethic and an attitude for learning and developing.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • A detailed awareness of Building Regulations, especially part L.
  • A good team player with a willingness to embrace and live our company values.
  • With a strong sense of curiosity and a willingness to try things.

  • Irish/European Driving Licence for a manual vehicle? (required)

Work Location: In person

Pay: €34,816.43-€55,000.00 per year
