Position Summary:

Ronald A. Chisholm is seeking an enthusiastic, curious, detail-oriented, collaborative, and resourceful team player for a full-time position as a Bilingual Trade Operations Specialist and encourages those candidates that meet the below candidate profile, and that can perform the following responsibilities to apply. Reporting to the Operations Manager and Logistics Manager, North American Meat, the Bilingual Trade Operations Specialist will play an integral part within our fast-paced North American Meat division, providing support with data entry, secondary costs administration, and assisting the North America Meat operations team with the execution of contracts, rates, and logistics for protein commodity shipments within the North American (and Mexico) market. Note that this is an junior level position and training will be provided; this is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about starting a career in operations and supply chain management within the food commodities industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects documents required to generate customer invoices (BOL, supplier invoice, etc.).
  • Enters, monitors, and updates contracts in Access as required by logistics team; adds update notes as required to ensure files are consistently up to date.
  • Processes secondary costs administration as required.
  • Sets up SAP transactions to correctly reflect claim credits and debits; enters trade contracts into SAP as required.
  • Assists with accounting functions including invoicing, collection, and payment processing; prioritizes tasks by date of delivery.
  • Maintains open and constant communication with traders, logistics, and data entry teams to ensure all deals are processed with accuracy and efficiency, and communicates regarding credit issues.
  • Updates vendor and contact lists as needed.
  • Reviews monthly statements from vendors.
  • Assists logistics staff as required (attaining carrier rates, managing claims, calling warehouses, etc.).
  • Monitors and responds promptly to all incoming communications (customers and other business partners); ensures proper flow of pertinent information among external and internal stakeholders.
  • Thinks ‘outside of the box’ to develop new efficiencies or processes to support organizational goals and strategies.
  • Complies with all company policies, guidelines, and objectives.

Candidate Profile:

  • Completed secondary school required; post-secondary degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field of study would be an asset.
  • Some mix of experience (obtained through work and/or studies) in data entry, logistics, customer service, administration, or similar would be considered a strong asset.
  • Efficient and accurate keyboarding skills required.
  • Proficiency with full Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) required.
  • Proficiency with SAP ERP would be considered a strong asset.
  • Fluency (verbal and written) in English and Spanish required.
  • Able to work autonomously, as well as in a team setting.
  • Organized with exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), and a strong customer service focus.
  • Able to effectively multi-task, prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner and with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, client focused environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business situations and expectations.
