The Bilingual Receptionist is the first point of contact for most clients and the first taste of our Center's culture of hospitality and grace. The position requires great interersonal skills, a bright demeanor, problem solving, and the ability and willingness to work calmly and joyfully under pressure.
Qualifications/Background:
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Approved DPS, Criminal and CPS background checks
- At least 1-year experience in related field
- Have faith in God and have accepted salvation through His son, Jesus Christ; daily living in a relationship with God that would be evident in your life, through word and deed
- Have strong commitment to the mission of Care Net Pregnancy Center and be in full agreement with Care Net Statements of Principles Purpose and Faith and Mission and Values Statements
- Attend church on a regular basis
- Intermediate skill level with phones and computers, database entry, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
- Ability to carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision
- Highly organized, self-motivated, dependable and responsible
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds up to waist high level
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl, walk, reach, climb on a step stool or ladder, and be sedentary or stand 50% of the time
- Must be able to hear, see, and speak in order to communicate with clients efficiently
Duties:
- Complete opening and closing duties for the center.
- Greet all clients, vendors, and guests and ensure they are attended to with swiftness and kindness.
- Manage phones and all access to the center and center staff.
- Assist walk in clients, set appointments, and support the Client Services team by logging no shows and rescheduling appointments.
- Perform clerical duties as assigned.
- Keep lobby and staff room clean, organized and inviting.
- Receive, sort and distribute mail and office supplies.
- Maintain inventory of the staff room/kitchen and submit inventory orders when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
