Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding accounts. This role requires strong mathematical skills and proficiency in accounting software, as well as excellent communication abilities to interact with clients and internal teams.

Duties

  • Process client billing for 20-attorney law firm, including billing for insurance company clients.
  • Process and record incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable transactions and customer interactions.
  • Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment arrangements, demonstrating strong phone etiquette.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team, Administrator and attorneys.
  • Utilize accounting software for data entry and financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in math with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with billing to insurance companies for legal work, both flat fee and hourly, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with JURIS software is also preferred.
  • Preference would be given to a candidate with some real estate settlement administration background.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a law firm environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
