About the Role:

Are you passionate and experienced with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and ready to advance your career in the MEP industry? We are seeking a motivated BIM Coordinator/Modeler with a strong foundation in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, proficiency in Revit, and a commitment to professional growth. Reporting to the BIM Manager, this role provides an excellent opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals, contribute to innovative projects, and grow within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage MEP BIM models using Autodesk Revit, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design conflicts and achieve project goals.
  • Conduct clash detection between electrical/mechanical systems and building components and resolve issues using tools like Navisworks or similar software.
  • Design mechanical system layouts in coordination with electrical, structural, and architectural elements.
  • Perform 3D coordination to ensure integration with other trades and disciplines.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed shop drawings, schedules, and other construction documents.
  • Prepare as-built documentation and Trimble point layouts.
  • Design and modify parametric Revit families to meet project requirements.
  • Produce detailed spool drawings and fabrication sheets for pre-construction purposes.
  • Develop Revit models and drawings from sketches, annotations, and mechanical/electrical system designs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet drafting and modeling requirements.
  • Create and manage Revit worksets while maintaining a strong understanding of the work-sharing process.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Proven experience in BIM modeling and MEP system coordination (*Practical test will be conducted in Revit).
  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate Certification in Building Information Modeling (BIM) is highly desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other BIM-related tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Trimble SysQue.

Software Proficiency:

  • Advanced knowledge of Revit, including the ability to create and manipulate families, views, sheets, schedules, filters, and more.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks, Autodesk Design Review, and 3D layout and design tools.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and other relevant applications.
  • Proficient in utilizing additional tools such as Bluebeam, BIM 360, Dynamo, and Revizto.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret 2D plans, both digitally and on hard copy.
  • Solid understanding of MEP design principles, construction standards, and building codes.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent time management with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capability to take verbal and written instructions and translate them into detailed design documents.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
