Paul McGrail Consulting Engineers (PMcG) is a civil and structural engineering consultancy based in Maynooth. We are recognised for delivering practical, high-quality, and sustainable engineering solutions across a wide range of projects.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a BIM Technician – Structural Designer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical skills in Revit and AutoCAD to contribute to the delivery of structural design and detailed drawing packages.

About the Role

You will work closely with our engineers to develop accurate structural models and drawings, supporting projects from concept through to construction. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical detailing with 3D modelling and coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Revit
• Produce high-quality 2D drawings and detailing using AutoCAD
• Assist in the preparation of structural design documentation and construction drawings
• Ensure all drawings and models meet project standards and deadlines
• Update and revise models/drawings in line with design changes
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other design team members
• Support BIM processes and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience using Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD (essential)
• Background in structural engineering, drafting, or a related discipline
• Good understanding of construction drawings and structural detailing
• Experience working within a BIM environment is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
