Responsibilities (includes but is not limited to):

  • Welcome guests in a personable, professional and entertaining manner while understanding the diversity of players.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and working order of all terminals/slot machines and to clean equipment and tables between sessions.
  • Verify cash float and card sales during sessions, accurately payout winning prizes and documentation.
  • Remain calm and in control when events such as multiple winners occur.
  • Completely understand all Bingo programs and slot machine games.
  • Understand and respond to customer inquiries regarding programs, promotions, and any other product or service offered at Chances Cowichan
  • Immediately see to potential safety hazards and report as necessary.
  • Undertake other tasks and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Comply with the Chances Cowichan dress code and other policies.
  • Be able to learn and respond to a variety of questions regarding how games work and responsible gambling.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Exceptional customer service and resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to speak courteously in any situation.
  • Ability to do basic, quick math is essential.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and walk briskly but safely when needed.
  • Understand customer needs including those around responsible gambling.
  • Basic computer skills for online training and possible cross training in other areas of the facility.
  • Having a current Serving It Right certificate will be required.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older and be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada and will need to reside within reasonable commuting distance.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.55-$19.55 per hour
