About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Technician to play a vital role in supporting clinical teams through the maintenance and management of life-saving medical equipment.

In this critical role, you will:

Conduct electrical safety and performance testing of biomedical equipment in line with AS/NZS 3551:2012.
Perform planned and corrective maintenance, calibration, and commissioning of medical devices, as well as decommissioning and disposal.
Provide technical support to clinical users and liaise with departments to coordinate maintenance schedules.
Maintain accurate records using the Asset and Facility Management Online (AFMO) system.
Participate in contractor management, documentation, and on-call service rosters as required.

About You

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or Electrical fields.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hospital or health sector environment.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills in medical electronics.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer systems and database tools.
A current Class C Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel across MLHD.
