Partnering with leading academic researchers through its Immunology Innovation Program (IIP), argenx is translating immunology breakthroughs into a world-class portfolio of novel antibody-based medicines. argenx’s first experimental medicine, efgartigimod, is being evaluated in multiple autoimmune diseases, including myasthenia gravis (MG), immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP). argenx is located in Ghent, Belgium, Boston, Massachusetts and Tokyo, Japan.
We are accelerating our Gen AI journey, aiming to unlock significant value through increased by transforming ways of working and creating differentiated employee experience. The BIS (Business Information System) AI Lead - Enterprise Productivity will spearhead initiatives aimed at boosting productivity by simplifying ways of working leveraging Gen AI capabilities. Reporting to the BIS Global Head of AI, the role will primarily sit within the technology team, acting as the crucial interface between the business and technical teams to drive impactful outcomes.
This position will play a key leadership role for our overall vision to embed Gen AI into the core of our Enterprise productivity solutions and deliver meaningful outcomes.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Strategic roadmap – In collaboration with stakeholders, define and execute a strategic roadmap for Gen AI adoption focused on enterprise productivity and related themes.
  • Use case definition - Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize use cases that deliver efficiency and scalability.
  • End to End Execution – Working with AI platform Lead and other technology teams, SMEs and external partners, drive / own end-to-end implementation of Gen AI solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
  • Adoption – Champion the adoption of assigned use cases and plan / drive appropriate training and change management plan
  • Responsible & Safe use of AI - Advocate for the responsible and ethical use of AI, adhering to company-wide governance frameworks, contribute into overall AI Governance discussions
  • Out-Side In : Proactively seek out-side In & partner with external vendors and internal teams to evaluate and integrate advanced AI tools and platforms.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 10 years working either in a biopharmaceutical company or a consulting organization with focus on the life sciences sector
  • Proven strong leadership experience to lead and drive Gen AI adoption programs
  • Proven experience in Gen AI with a focus on enterprise productivity and efficiency
  • Strong ability to interface between business and technical teams, translating requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Expertise in leveraging Gen AI tools and platforms to drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with safe and responsible AI principles and enterprise-level governance practices.
  • High analytical capability with history of leveraging data, analytical & AI techniques to optimize business decisions. Willingness to be strategic and hands-on as required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.
