Job Description
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct exploratory research on various blockchain protocols (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polkadot, Cosmos) and identify potential improvements or applications.

Design, test, and implement new blockchain protocols and consensus mechanisms to enhance scalability, security, and efficiency.

Study cryptographic methods used in blockchain and ensure data integrity, privacy, and security across networks.
-
Research and prototype advanced smart contract mechanisms and decentralized applications (DApps) on platforms like Ethereum, Hyperledger, or Corda.

Explore and develop Layer 2 solutions (such as rollups or sidechains) and sharding methods to enhance blockchain scalability.

Monitor industry trends, create detailed research reports, and present findings to stakeholders.

Work with software engineers and data scientists to translate research into viable technical solutions and consult on project implementations.
- Document research outcomes and, where relevant, publish papers or blog posts to contribute to open-source communities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science in Blockchain, Cryptography, Mathematics, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred for senior research roles.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, Solidity, or Go.

Strong understanding of distributed ledger technology, blockchain consensus mechanisms, and cryptographic principles.

Prior experience in blockchain development or research (e.g., on Ethereum, Polkadot, Hyperledger)

Experience with tools like Ethereum’s Web3, Hardhat, Truffle, and various blockchain test environments.

Ability to approach complex issues logically and innovatively, with a strong focus on security and reliability.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices in the context of blockchain.

Familiarity with tokenomics, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the broader Web3 ecosystem.
-
Mandarin speaking candidates are required to communicate effectively with counterparts who are based in China (who do not speak English).
- Publication record in reputable blockchain conferences and journals.
