Your role will include:
- Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to understand and address challenging behaviors.
- Developing and implementing individualized behavioral plans and positive behavior support systems across campus.
- Collaborating with faculty, staff, and families to ensure students’ needs are met both in school and in the residential setting.
- Providing crisis support as needed and maintaining a calm, professional approach in all situations.
- Collecting and analyzing data to monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Attending annual IEP meetings with school districts to support student development.
- Training and modeling interventions for 1:1 and Direct Support Professionals (DSP) staff.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A Master’s degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- NYS Behavior Analyst certification, current and in good standing.
- At least one year of experience working with elementary, middle, and/or secondary students with autism (two or more years preferred).
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A student-centered, strength-based approach to intervention and treatment.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Additional details:
- Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:15 am – 4:15 pm, with the possibility of additional hours based on student needs.
- Work in a beautiful, 127-acre campus with indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Regularly navigate between floors and buildings, including crisis intervention as needed.
