Boarding House Year Coordinators, Commencing Late January 2025

Penrhos College Boarding House is currently inviting applications for the positions of Boarding House Year Coordinators commencing in Term 1, 2025. The Boarding House has approximately 100 students ranging from Year 7 to 12. The Boarding House Year Coordinators role is to provide appropriate supervision in the general routine of boarding students as well as quality pastoral care support. These fulltime positions will commence in late January and will be on-going following the satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period.

We have a variety of shifts available with accommodation and meals provided.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, balance a supportive approach with the need for consistency and structure and administer all rules and procedures with the Boarders.

Duties related to this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • To provide guidance and supervision of all boarding students.
  • To provide support with internal and external recreational activities.
  • To undertake administrative functions to support role
  • Support the College and Head of Boarding to provide for the spiritual, academic, cultural emotional and physical needs of the students in the boarding house.
  • Provide a duty of care, that is, to take all reasonable steps to ensure the well-being of the student.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Ability to work positively, cooperatively and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Demonstrate a positive role model for students
  • Experience in interacting with young people
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to gain one)
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to gain one)
  • Computer Literacy
  • Experience in the use of Database is highly desirable
