San Telmo is a much anticipated addition to Brisbane’s restaurant scene. In the same fashion as its flagship Melbourne venue, San Telmo Brisbane will be an Argentinian steakhouse known for its focus on traditional asado-style cooking, premium cuts of meat, and bold, rustic flavours. Inspired by the convivial spirit of Argentinian dining, San Telmo will bring a unique atmosphere to Brisbane’s restaurant scene with its authentic South American hospitality.

With an experienced Head Chef already in place, we’re seeking a Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen at San Telmo Brisbane. These are hands-on leadership roles - ideal for chefs who thrive in service and enjoy developing people in a premium, fast-paced environment.

Description:
At San Telmo Brisbane, our Junior Sous Chef will lead the kitchen during service, ensuring smooth operations, high food standards and a consistent, high-quality guest experience. They will support the team through training, development and real-time feedback - all while working closely with the FOH team to maintain service flow and efficiency. The role also involves maintaining strong food safety, prep and section standards across the kitchen.

The Sous Chef will take ownership of the broader execution of these responsibilities - effectively overseeing day-to-day BOH operations. This also includes the important functions of recruitment, onboarding, training, development, succession planning and rostering.

Skills and Experiences:

  • Do you have full-time availability (38–42 hours per week), incl evenings & weekends where needed?
