Job Summary
We are hiring a Boutique and Events Assistant to help at Maritza’s Boutique in Perth Amboy, NJ. Your main job will be to greet customers, answer phones, and schedule appointments. You will also help with dress try-ons in the store and assist at weddings and quinceañeras by setting up decorations. No experience needed, we will train you.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers in the boutique and provide a warm, professional experience
  • Represent the brand in a polished, friendly, and reliable way
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and schedule appointments
  • Assist customers during dress try-ons and fittings
  • Help with basic office tasks such as researching vendors and comparing prices
  • Support wedding and quinceañera planning tasks as needed
  • Assist at events by helping with set-up and décor
  • Learn to follow room layouts and eventually lead small event set-ups
  • Be available for some evening and weekend events

Skills

  • Outgoing and charismatic, able to connect easily with people
  • Professional and polished, representing the brand with confidence
  • Comfortable speaking in English (Spanish a plus, but not required)
  • Friendly with strong customer service skills
  • Able to build rapport with clients and guide them during dress fittings
  • Organized and able to follow directions
  • Willing to learn about weddings, quinceañeras, and event set-ups
  • Basic computer or phone skills for scheduling and research
  • Reliable, responsible, and on time
  • Flexible to work some evenings and weekends

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.49 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Language:

  • Spanish (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 (Preferred)
