What is this position about?
As a Coverage Banker and Relationship Manager at the Financial Institutions Coverage (FIC) department, you will be responsible for identifying and matching the various products and solutions offered by BNP Paribas with the needs & demands of financial institutions.
What would be your typical day at BNPP Paribas look like?
As the mid-senior level team member, carry out the team/department’s set objectives & tasks by acting as the bridge in project coordination and deliver of the necessary workflows between the Head and Junior members.
Contribute and participate in the development and pursuit of the FIC department’s strategy by identifying new revenue opportunities, solidifying client relationship, and aligning business activities to the Bank’s overall direction.
Lead business meetings and engagements with key clients and individuals to build an effective dialogue channel and interactive client base.
Work in partnership with various internal and external interest parties by developing and maintaining strong connections with key stakeholders within BNPP’s business and product lines Add-value in upkeeping the regular workflows of the team/department while also assisting to expand business activities, including preparation of any materials, reports, and presentations.
Take active and responsive role in contributing to all FIC team/department business procedures and activities, including but not limited to (a) producing memos related to credit, loan facilities and annual review processes, (b) facilitating legal agreements &documentations, (c) supporting in managing the risk and limit profile of the department’s client portfolio and (d) delivering other ad-hoc required materials or issue-handlings.
Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, offered products, relevant laws, and regulations.
Proactively ensure the proper maintenance and monitoring of all internal client relationship related matters as the SBO/RM, including Know-Your-Clients and other internal compliance policies as well as responsibly handling any outstanding issues and tasks.
Update the Client Relationship Management (CRM) tools – Call reports post client meetings, regular topic updates, and details of business opportunities.
Train and assist junior team members in gaining better work efficiency and career development.
Comprehensive and diverse knowledge of the overall financial industry, products, and markets.

Self-motivated individual with a high level of ‘attention-to-details’ and a sense of responsibility.

Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem-solving ability with logical thinking.
Required education/certification/licenses
Bachelor’s degree or above.
6+ years of experience work in any financial institutions. Additional points with experience as a Relationship Manager/Banker within coverage group, corporate finance, and product sales team.
Native in Korean and excellent communication skills both in verbal and written English, including preparation and delivery of presentations.
[Optional] License Holders of (a) Certificate of Derivatives Investment Advisor and (b) Certificate of Fund Investment Advisor.
[Optional] Post graduate studies in finance such as CFA, MBA, or CPA is a plus but not necessary.
