About the Role

Our Queensland branch is continuing to grow, and we are investing in leadership capability to support its next phase.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Branch Operations Manager to lead our QLD Operations and Customer Service functions from our Eagle Farm branch.

With an exciting branch relocation on the horizon, you will play a key role in delivering a smooth and successful transition, ensuring operations remain efficient and customer service standards remain high throughout.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will work closely with the branch team and national stakeholders to drive operational performance, strengthen customer experience, and build a high-performing, accountable culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day branch operations, including warehouse, logistics, order fulfilment, and customer service.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, promoting accountability, engagement, and strong branch culture.
  • Champion customer service excellence, ensuring every interaction, from phone enquiries to trade counter service, reflects Protecta’s commitment to delivering beyond expectations.
  • Maintain a strong on-the-floor presence, leading by example and supporting the team during peak periods.
  • Manage the upcoming branch relocation, ensuring continuity of service with minimal disruption to customers and operations.
  • Drive branch KPIs across service levels, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and team performance.
  • Act as the escalation point for operational and customer service matters, resolving issues proactively and professionally.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, and Finance teams to align branch operations with broader business objectives.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and Protecta policies, maintaining a safe and organised workplace.

Skills and Experiences:
What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a branch operations or operations management role, ideally within a product-based, distribution, or construction-related environment.
  • Strong background overseeing warehouse, logistics, and customer-facing functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead from the front, with a hands-on approach and willingness to support across all areas of the branch.
  • A strong customer mindset, with the ability to build relationships and ensure consistently high service standards.
  • Proven leadership capability, including coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite highly regarded) and Microsoft Office.
