Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of a private estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing high-end residential properties, a deep understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance, and the ability to lead a small team of 8 while working closely with estate management. This role requires discretion, integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Property Maintenance Oversight
  • Ensure the estate’s structures, systems, and grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Supervise, schedule, and perform general maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool systems, and lighting.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections to identify potential issues and resolve them promptly.
  • Team Management
  • Supervise a team of maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, landscaping, and security to ensure cohesive estate operations.
  • Provide training and ensure adherence to safety protocols and service excellence.
  • Preventative Maintenance Planning
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance schedule for all estate systems and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, warranties, inspections, and repairs.
  • Project Management
  • Assist with or lead special projects and renovations, coordinating contractors and monitoring progress.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the principal’s expectations.
  • Budget and Inventory Management
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitor maintenance-related expenditures.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; reorder as needed.
  • Emergency Response
  • Be available for emergency repairs and urgent issues, including after hours and weekends, as needed.
  • Implement contingency plans during extreme weather or estate emergencies (e.g., hurricanes, flooding).

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in property/estate maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a luxury residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pool systems.
  • Experience managing staff and working with high-end contractors and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to use maintenance tracking systems and digital tools.
  • Valid Florida driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background and reference checks.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with flexibility required (some weekends, evenings, and on-call duty).
  • Half day Friday AM and half day Sunday AM availability preferred
  • Physically demanding at times; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on repairs.
  • Uniform or dress code adherence may be required, as per estate standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No less than 42.5 per week
