Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various destinations while ensuring a positive experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including children and seniors.
Duties
- Safely operate a bus or other vehicle according to established routes and schedules.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, particularly those with special needs or disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any delays.
- Handle any issues that arise during transit with professionalism and courtesy.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and passenger care.
Skills
- Multilingual abilities, particularly in English and Spanish, are highly desirable for effective communication with diverse passenger groups.
- Commercial driving experience is essential; candidates must possess the appropriate licensing for bus operation.
- Previous experience working with children or in senior care settings is a plus, enhancing the ability to cater to specific passenger needs.
- Strong customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers.
- Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for performing basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to relay important information clearly and effectively.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
