Bus Driver (Part Time) 20-25 Hours Per Week

We are recruiting a part-time Bus Driver (20 - 25 hours per week). The post is based mainly out of our Bagenalstown Service, but you may be required to work across all locations from time to time. Working hours will be split shift, for example 8.00am-10.0am & 3.00pm-5.00pm (these hours may vary).

The Driver will be committed to delivering a high standard of service in line with the ethos and vision of Beam Services. They will undertake to work as part of a team with the bus escort and divide up the duties to ensure smooth service delivery.

The Driver will undertake to complete the record keeping associated with this role. They will build a rapport with the members, their families and the staff team in Beam Services to ensure the smooth running and delivery of the transport service.

Please note some bus routes are driver only routes. Some bus routes will have a bus escort to the support the drivers.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills Required

• A full “B” Irish driving licence is essential,
• Bus or van driving experience is desirable
• A strong interest or experience of working with Individuals with an Intellectual Disability & their families is desirable.
• Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be highly motivated.
• Team working skills are essential
• Record keeping skills are required.
• Must have the ability to develop positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
