What does a successful Senior Business Analyst do?

As a Senior Business Analyst at Fiserv, you will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed business requirements while analyzing data and processes to identify opportunities for improvement. You will develop user stories and acceptance criteria to support project delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Your role bridges the gap between business users and technical teams, facilitating seamless communication throughout project lifecycles.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit and document detailed business requirements.

• Analyze data and processes to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.

• Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed documentation to support project delivery.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless communication throughout project lifecycles.

• Conduct impact assessments and provide insights to optimize business processes.

• Act as a bridge between business users, technical teams, and project managers to facilitate project success.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.

• Proficiency in Agile methodologies, with experience in using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.

• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) is preferred.

What would be great to have:

• Ability to conduct data analysis and create data models for business requirements.

• Experience with SQL queries and data visualization tools.

• Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in business analysis.

• Proven track record of successful project delivery and stakeholder management.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
