About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Regulatory & Remediation Program within the Program Management Office (PMO). This is an opportunity to play a key role in strengthening our control environment, supporting regulatory obligations and helping deliver sustainable business outcomes across the Bank.

Reporting to the Head of PMO, you will partner with stakeholders across the Bank to analyse, document and improve processes, controls and systems that support regulatory compliance and remediation initiatives. You will help translate regulatory requirements into practical business solutions, ensuring outcomes are well-governed, sustainable and aligned to Defence Bank's risk management framework.

This role offers exposure to complex enterprise-wide initiatives and the opportunity to work closely with Risk, Compliance, Operations, Technology and Product teams.

Key Responsibilities

What You'll Be Doing

Analyse business processes, controls, policies and systems to identify compliance gaps and remediation opportunities.
Translate regulatory requirements into clear business and system requirements.
Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to define current and future state processes.
Develop high-quality documentation, including requirements, process maps, control frameworks and decision artefacts.
Support the design and implementation of strengthened controls and sustainable operating practices.
Identify and manage dependencies across remediation initiatives and regulatory change programs.
Provide analysis and recommendations to support governance forums and decision-making.
Contribute to the successful delivery and embedding of remediation outcomes across the organisation.

Skills and Experiences:
About You

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with a practical and collaborative approach.

You will ideally have:
3–5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
Experience working on regulatory, compliance, risk or remediation initiatives.
A solid understanding of governance, risk management and control frameworks.
Experience operating in complex, regulated environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
Exceptional written communication and documentation capability.
The ability to distil complex regulatory and risk concepts into practical business outcomes.
Financial services or banking industry experience.
Qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, PRINCE2, BABOK or similar methodologies (desirable).
Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience (desirable).
