The Business Support team plays an integral part of the Internal Firm Services framework, supporting the business with highly skilled, technical and adaptive support staff.


This is a 7 month - fixed term role which sits within PwC’s Internal Firm Services, Business Support team in our Tāmaki Makaurau/ Auckland office.

As a Business Assistant you will play a key role in influencing best practice and creating a great team environment. Specifically, you will be responsible for supporting three key Partners, providing administrative support, diary management, project coordination, and enabling our people and teams to perform to the highest standard. You will be a ‘go to’ person for the team on many matters and will enjoy a varied and rewarding career.

This role would be ideal for a flexible and adaptable individual who has the ability to forge strong relationships within the business and manage a wide variety of requests with confidence.

Your key responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

  • First point of contact for existing and prospective clients, team members, and others across PwC New Zealand and overseas.

  • Planning and coordinating projects, client visits and meetings, including room bookings, video conference support and catering requirements.

  • Provide direction and support for systems, alongside Internal Firm Services - Google and Microsoft suites, FlexiPurchase, Travel self-serve Zeno, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, iManage, Adobe Pro, Miro, Mural, Kanbanchi.

  • Provide high quality secretarial support including filing, database management and preparation of legal documents.

  • Handle routine enquiries and re-route urgent matters for attention in the absence of Partners and senior staff.

  • Assist with the billing process, including finalising billing sheets, updating the system and sending bills to clients.

  • Manage and coordinate travel arrangements including assisting documenting travel expenditure and reimbursements.

  • Event support & coordination for local and national events - working closely with our Markets team.

  • Support Internal Firm Services in continuous improvement of processes and policies, ensuring simplicity and ‘fit for purpose’ .

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience

  • 3-4+ years of experience as a Personal Assistant or in an administrative support role at a professional services firm, working with a range of senior staff members.

  • Excellent proven communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability and confidence to deal with people at all levels and communicate information in an appropriate manner and style

  • Highly organised and resilient with an ability to effectively plan and prioritise multiple tasks and manage time to meet deadlines in a changing environment.

  • Excellent document management skills, including Google and Microsoft Office suites.
