Role Description

This is a full-time Business Controller position with a hybrid work arrangement, based in Vantaa The Business Controller will oversee financial planning and analysis, support business planning processes, and provide insightful reporting to aid decision-making. The role will also involve monitoring business performance, identifying trends, and offering recommendations to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Proficient in Business Control and Business Planning
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial data and trends
Solid understanding of Finance and Financial Planning principles and practices
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
High proficiency in data analysis tools and financial software
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline
Previous experience in a similar role is highly advantageous
Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams

What will you do?

Financial Planning & Analysis

Develop, consolidate, and maintain comprehensive budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans in collaboration with business leadership
Conduct variance analysis between actual performance and budget/forecasts, providing recommendations for improvement
Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders

Business Partnership & Strategy with operational and commercial teams to provide financial guidance on business initiatives and projects

Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements
Support the development and evaluation of business cases for new investments, products, or market expansion
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics

Financial Control & Compliance

Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with Finnish accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and regulatory requirements
Oversee internal controls, risk management processes, and audit procedures
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
