Description:
Mai-Wel Labour Force Solutions is seeking a driven Business Development Representative to expand our employer network and create meaningful employment pathways for people with disability across the Hunter region.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager - Employment Programs, this role focuses on developing strong employer partnerships that lead to sustainable employment outcomes and repeat business.

You will actively promote the Mai-Wel Labour Force Solutions brand by engaging local businesses, identifying opportunities, and matching job seekers to suitable roles.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

Proactively target employers through cold calling, canvassing and reverse marketing

Secure job vacancies that lead to successful placements

Develop and maintain strategic employer relationships

Build strong linkages with labour hire companies and recruitment agencies

Develop and implement territory and marketing plans

Promote the strengths and capabilities of our candidate pool

Recruitment & Placement

Work closely with Employment Consultants to assess and match candidates

Identify employer needs and tailor recruitment approaches

Support successful placements in collaboration with Post Placement Support Teams

Administration & Compliance

Maintain accurate employer records and case notes

Ensure placement documentation is accurate and complete

Adhere to WHS and organisational policies

Skills and Experiences:
About You

You are results-driven, confident engaging with businesses, and passionate about supporting inclusive employment.

Essential:
Demonstrated understanding of recruitment practices

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Proven networking ability

Computer savvy

Current Driver’s Licence

Previous experience in a similar role

Desirable:
Experience in the disability or employment services sector

Background in sales or marketing

Tertiary qualifications in sales, marketing, communications or HR

Knowledge of local industry

Mental Health First Aid
