The Business Development Specialist (B2B) is responsible for driving growth and expanding the company's presence. This role requires a proactive professional with a deep understanding of business development strategies and a strong ability to cultivate relationships with new and existing clients. The specialist will focus on identifying business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and implementing initiatives that align with the company's growth objectives. This role is predominantly field based and would require travel within Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target potential B2B clients through research, networking, and other lead-generation techniques.
Develop a robust pipeline of prospects through various channels, including cold calling, emailing, and attending industry events.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues to maintain long-term partnerships.
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, potential business opportunities, and competitive landscape.
Analyse and assess clients' needs to recommend tailored solutions that align with their goals.
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create presentations, proposals, and other sales materials.
Lead contract negotiations and close deals with B2B clients, ensuring terms are favourable and align with company objectives.
Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, from initial contact to contract signing, and handover to account management teams.
Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, projects, service) to ensure alignment and support business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in B2B business development, sales, or a related role.
Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets and expanding business in the B2B market.
Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, with excellent negotiation and closing skills.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other business tools.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in gas detection or safety industry.
