Cross Sphere Partners Pty Ltd is a growing Australian advisory business establishing a dedicated business-intelligence, information-management and reporting capability to support its commercial development and Australian operations.
About the role
Cross Sphere Partners is seeking a Business Intelligence and Reporting Analyst to establish and operate its Australian information-management and management-reporting function. The successful candidate will collect, organise, validate and analyse customer, payment, financial and operational information generated across the company's digital platforms. The position will develop KPI frameworks, dashboards, forecasts and reporting procedures that convert complex business information into reliable intelligence and practical recommendations for management.
Key responsibilities
· Manage the collection, organisation, validation and processing of customer, financial, payment and operational information to produce reliable business intelligence.
· Analyse customer engagement, retention, transaction and payment patterns to identify behavioural trends, performance issues, risks and commercial opportunities.
· Prepare customer-insight reports covering KPIs, seasonal trends, business performance, exceptions and actionable recommendations for customer acquisition, engagement and retention.
· Develop KPI dashboards, automated Excel reports and recurring business-intelligence reporting solutions to improve reporting accuracy, consistency and efficiency.
· Undertake forecasting, budgeting support, variance analysis and performance planning, including reconciliation of financial and payment transactions.
· Investigate data inconsistencies, failed or rejected transactions and operational anomalies, working with finance, payments, accounting, CRM and operations teams to establish consistent information flows and corrective controls.
· Translate complex business information into clear commercial and operational recommendations and present findings to management and stakeholders.
· Document, implement and continuously improve the company's Australian information-management, business-intelligence, reporting and data-governance procedures, supporting management in evaluating performance, operational efficiency and growth opportunities.
Skills and experience
· At least five years of relevant professional experience in business intelligence, information management, management reporting, customer insights or a comparable analytical and reporting role.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and practical experience with business-intelligence, ERP, CRM and reporting systems such as SAP, Looker, Qlik Sense or equivalent platforms.
· Experience coordinating information and reporting requirements across finance, payments, accounting, CRM and operational functions.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, attention to detail and the ability to convert complex business information into clear and practical recommendations.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare management reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
· A relevant qualification in business, information management, data analytics, statistics, accounting or a related discipline is desirable.
· Prior practical experience with digital financial and payment platforms and customer-management/business-intelligence platforms is highly advantageous. Experience with Genome and/or Celesta will be particularly valued.
