The Business Intelligence Manager will lead the development of scalable, insight-driven solutions that empower business and functional teams to make informed, strategic decisions. This role focuses on enhancing analytical maturity across the enterprise by creating analytical findings that are actionable and aligned with business priorities. By leveraging existing tools and platforms, the Manager will ensure efficient delivery of insights that support revenue growth, cost optimization, and competitive differentiation—ultimately fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Coach and develop your team of analysts to deliver actionable insights aligned with business priorities.
Leads projects and assists in development of project plans, conducting analysis/modeling, hypothesis testing, presenting complex information for various audiences in simplified terms, and identifying next steps and future opportunities
Mentors team members in technical proficiency, code reviews, and business acumen
Collaborates with team members to prioritize requests requiring multiple resources for thorough project completion within stated timelines
Research and implement new standards, best practices, tools, strategies and techniques in the predictive analytics area to optimize execution strategies
Remains abreast of developments in the field(s) of insurance, management, and data sciences by attending self-development programs, interacting with peers, and reviewing pertinent literature. Incorporates advancements when practicable and cost effective.
Participate and drive data strategies and best practices
Proactively engages internal and external teams to discover areas of analytical needs.
Create value through data and advance predictive and prescriptive insights capabilities
Use data storytelling to present compelling business cases
Produce clear, insightful, understandable work products (presentations, visualizations, dashboards, etc.) to outline business opportunities and actionable recommendations
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
7+ years of experience in the fields of data analytics and reporting
3+ years in People Management
Expert in visualization techniques, visual story telling with data, designing highly automated descriptive analytics/reporting solutions, building, integrating and managing databases, creating data models, and understanding business needs and processes.
Expert in PowerBI, Excel, Tableau, PowerApps, MS Flow, SQL and/or SAS
Experienced in effective and compelling communication to technical and non-technical departments
What other skills or experience would be useful in this role?
Masters Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
10+ years of experience in the fields of data analytics and reporting
10+ years in People Management
Expert in interpersonal skills with ability to work across organizational boundaries, analyzing data and making strong recommendations based on findings.
Expert in prioritizing tasks with shifting deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously and working independently with little guidance while still meeting objectives
