Business Lending Underwriter (Dutch Speaker)

Your Role:

As an Underwriter in the Netherlands, you will play a key role in evaluating and supporting the creditworthiness of SMEs. Your mission will be to empower local businesses while collaborating within an agile global team. You will bring the entrepreneurial stories behind the numbers into focus, ensuring robust and responsible lending practices.

Your Responsibilities:

• Credit Analysis:
  Evaluate the creditworthiness of SME loan applicants using CapitalBox’s credit scoring and risk policies.
• Credit Committee Representation:
  Present larger cases to the Credit Committee for approval.
• Risk Process Development:
  Actively develop risk assessment processes tailored to the Dutch market.
• Innovation and Product Development:
  Contribute to the development of new products and initiatives that enhance SME financing solutions.
• Loan Processing:
  Perform thorough due diligence, ensuring swift, accurate, and high-quality processing of loan applications.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Maintain meticulous records and support decisions within our lending platform.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with international underwriting departments and other stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, and IT.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years’ experience in financial analytics, credit risk management, or SME lending.
• Strong understanding and interest in reading and analyzing financial statements and corporate finance.
• Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A team player who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive, open-minded, and eager to develop and improve processes.
• Fluent in Dutch, with a strong command of English (business language).
