Job Description
Come join the IT Finance Data and Analytics team and help us support Intel business groups by modernizing their data needs. We work closely with three other teams to fully support Enterprise Finance data for the corporation. Our team purpose is to build and organize best-in-class Enterprise Finance data solutions to transform data and enable secure, accurate, and reliable analytics foractionable insights, improved decision making and to keep Intel legally and financially compliant.
We are looking for a Systems Analyst to join our technical team. In this role you would be focusing on helping us transform our data foundation. You would be analyzing the data logic in current SSAS semantic models and move that logic into Enterprise Cloud Analytics Curated Data Foundation. The Finance data domains we support are Cost and Inventory, Fixed Assets including Capital Depreciation and Construction, and Planning and Analytics/Forecast. You would be driving technical solutions in support of our Machine Learning/AI projects. You would be working closely with our business partners to gather requirements, driving the prioritization of work, and overseeing the development of enhancements.
Responsibilities might include, although not be limited to:
- Analyze and investigate business problems and provide technology-based solutions within the realm of ERP systems
- Identify business requirements, functional and system specifications that meet business user requirements, map them to systems capabilities and recommend technical solutions.
- Consult with business process owners to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives
- Examine current business procedures, system practices and IT modification design and recommend new improved ones.
- Work closely with the business with development of business case for enhancements and identify, assess, and mitigate process risk, develop required training, change management, and operations processes
- Design new solutions and systems by analyzing business requirements, constructing workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, and writing specifications.
- Lead business process mapping, including process flows, data flow diagrams, entity relationship diagrams and conducting feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- Develop use cases, customer scenarios, and/or demos, plan, conduct and coordinate testing of the newly developed or enhanced applications and provide support.
- Looks for opportunities to automate business processes with technology and provide consultation to users in automated systems.
- Anticipate complex issues and discuss within and outside of project team to maintain open communication.
- Identify test scenarios and cases, executes test cases, documents test results, test scripts and provides quality assurance results to the business.
- Configures system settings and options, plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing, and creates systems specifications.
- Perform troubleshooting, solve complex bug issues in production systems or applications, and collaborate with subject matter experts on issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
- Record, monitor, and publish critical projects, program and key performance indicators, documents progress and reports to senior stakeholders regularly.
Skills required:
- Strong stakeholder and end-user collaboration skills, during projects and for sustaining purposes.
- Strong communication skills to describe complex issues to various audiences.
- Self-starter who takes ownership and responsibility for projects and initiatives combined with the skills to work independently and collaboratively in team settings.
- Problem solving skills to provide input to system design, make decisions for functionality and configuration, gauge and measure data quality levels and provide troubleshooting support.
- Excellent SQL skills to be able to query and 'cook' data with common reporting tools such as Power BI/Excel pivots, etc.
- Ability to design and understand data models and data flows from one system to the other
- Ability to login to multiple systems and ability to analyze/reconcile the data in and across them like SAP, SQL Server, Teradata, SAP HANA or Oracle.
- Ability to create data mockups by joining various data elements in Excel.
- Ability to design and create data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards).
- Familiarity with how security works in enterprise systems such as access management, authorizations, etc.
- Knowledge of working in SCRUM teams.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Development, or any equivalent experience and 4+ years of experience.
2+ years of experience in:
- Financial information systems and business processes
- Data and analytics systems analysis and design
- Finance Data Management
- Database and Data Warehouse solutions
- Database technologies: SQL, SAP HANA, SSAS, BOBJ, Azure, Snowflake. Databricks, PowerBI
- Agile/Dev Ops principles and Agile practices
- Planning, Defect, and Incident Management
Preferred Qualifications:
Not required, but desired that you have experience with:
- Integrated business planning with ERP software
- MS Azure technologies, Cloud computing, and Snowflake
- Advanced analytics and Machine Learning
- Knowledge of Intel Finance information systems
- Supply Planning concepts (inventory, demand, bill of materials)
- Supply Chain planning parameters

Intel's Information Technology Group (IT) designs, deploys and supports the information technology architecture and hardware/software applications for Intel. Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $123,130.00-$173,830.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
