Due to continuous expansion of our Hardware Distribution Company, Joseph Murphy (Ballina) Ltd based in County Mayo are hiring an experienced and professional Buyer to work within the Purchasing team of the business. In this role, the ideal candidate will own and manage buying activities and planning processes to ensure timely and cost effective acquisition of goods whilst supporting operational efficiency and strategic goals within the business. They will work closely with the Sales and Finance Departments as well as our Goods In. The scouring of products, negotiating of contracts on pricing etc., planning and coordinating delivery of foreign imports will also be part of this role.
Candidate Requirements:
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Excellent IT skills including solid comfort with Excel.
Ability to focus and prioritise tasks.
Work well with others and on own initiative.
Good attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Job Type: Full-time
