Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker/Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and craftsmanship, with the ability to create high-quality cabinets and furniture and renovations. This role requires precision, creativity, and a strong understanding of various materials and construction techniques as well as finishing and renovations aspects.

Duties and Skills

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to create cabinets and furniture.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Restore or repair existing cabinetry as needed.
• Collaborate with designers and clients to ensure satisfaction with the final product.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety standards.
• Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process.
• Renovation build attributes, from tear down to framing, insulation, plumbing, electrical, drywall, mudding and taping, painting, trim and door installation, flooring install as well as tile install.

Skills

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
• Strong woodworking skills with experience in cabinet making.
• Knowledge of various materials used in cabinetry including wood types and finishes.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds).
• Familiarity with general maintenance person skills including electrical work, siding, flooring installation, and construction painting is a plus.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that arise during the building process.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
