Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our woodworking and cabinetry team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in woodworking, carpentry, and construction, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves crafting custom cabinets and furniture, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and collaborating with project teams to meet client specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
- Construct cabinets, furniture, and custom woodwork using hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other woodworking equipment.
- Perform precise cutting, shaping, assembly, and finishing of wood components to meet project specifications.
- Install cabinets and related fixtures on-site, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
- Apply finishing techniques such as sanding, staining, painting, or sealing to achieve desired aesthetic results.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinetry, woodworking, or carpentry; experience in restoration or concrete forming is a plus.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment.
- Knowledge of construction estimating, heavy lifting techniques, rebar installation (if applicable), roofing, siding, plumbing or electrical experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform precise measurements and detailed craftsmanship with attention to quality standards.
- Strong understanding of construction safety protocols and best practices.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during fabrication or installation tasks.
- Handyman experience or familiarity with various trades such as masonry or flooring installation is beneficial.
